He returned a poem written by Thottathil Kesavan Vaidyan alleging that there was one error of euphonic combination which in fact was not existing.Perun-nelli exposed his mendacious excuse for the rejection which was a stunning experience for Sankunni who thereafter confined his animosity aganist the Ezhava literary men within his own chamber.)[3]

Vinod aroor

MGR (Maruthur gopalan ramachandra menon) is a nair. His father is melekath gopala menon and mother is maruthur satyabhama, both hails from nair families of palakkad district. Nairs are matrilinial and hence MGR has his mothers family name.

Please go through this para of MGR's biography.
"Melakkath Gopala Menon had been excommunicated from Keralite society ( bhrasht ) during a Smarthavicharam in 1903, regarding an illicit relationship with a widowed Brahmin woman; and hence he left his family, and married Maruthur Satybhama who was from a Ezhava caste, and migrated to Ceylon."
Hope you are updated.

You have done a wonderful job. But, it seems that the above list is incomplete. There are many prominent figures are to be included in the list such as Sunil Kumar.V.S. (CPI MLA), Adv. Rajan Babu (Ex. MLA), Adv. Shine (PSC Member), Thilothaman (Cherthala MLA), C.B. Chandra Babu (CPM Alappuzha District Secretary) etc. I would like to know the caste of our young politicians such as Palghat MP Mr.Rajesh.M.B.

I have strong doubt that Pannyan Raveendran is from ezhava community. He is reported to have been from Salyar community. Author may kindly verify this.

Moreover the Author may include U.Neelakantan Ex.MLA ( Attingal constituency) hailing from Kadakkavoor, Tvpm Dist in the list of Famous freedom fighter who was awarded with The THAMRA PATHRA by the India Govt. He was a relative and guru of R. Prakasam , Freedom fighter from Chirayinkil Taluk.

leftout K . Anirudhan CPIM father of A Sampath MP

Baiju S Dhar is right now...Associate Professor,Cheif Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon · Trivandrum, India

Alot of people who went abroad who were personally blessed by Guru made very prominent post in other countries and helped uplift others life and education back home in Kerala was not mentioned. They also fought against the Japanese and made heroes. One such person among many is Mr.Thittayil Kumaran Govind who hails from Anjengo who retired as Chief Surveyor of Malaysia.

I think Atlas Ramachandran is not Ezhava....also Kavya Madhavan is from Chaaliyaar Not Ezhava

Please include the name of Dr.Thayavalapil Kyprat Hemanth,in the list of eminent doctors, who is my elder brother and is a Radiation Oncologist who worked as a Consultant at Auckland Hospital, Auckland, New Zealand. You are missing a famous Ezahava mathematician, namely, Venugopalan Atiyolil. He was an honorary Visiting Member of Tata Institute of Fundamental Research where he solved an unsolved problem in mathematics. He gave four formulas, one was a formula for prime numbers. His works are seen at the below link:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Formula_for_primes#Atiyolil_Venugopalan

How thiyyas will become ezhava?
Wrong data is given.

He is belonging to Thiyya caste and not ezhava.
Thiyya and Ezhava are two diffrent caste.

pathetic, How can followers of Guru think about cast and be narrow minded like this

MS Ramaiah Medical College admission Admissions has all the information about popular universities in India empowering millions of students in making the right career and college decision.Career guidance assistance programs help students to select the best suitable college for their field of study.

You mean menon and Nair are two different caste

Good work. Keep it up.

hahaha stupid....Us Nairs are the top caste in kerala now you ezhava and thiyya dogs are not the same always fighting each other..we are superior you ezhava/thiyya dogs can lie under our feet we will give some left overs

Rajivan ips died already presently he has no position as posted here

Why the people should not say their caste when reservation is given on caste and religious basis is it not foolish

Most of them are Thiyyars. Not Ezhavas. And Thiyyars being the No.1 in Malabar, most of the prominent people will be Thiyyars there. Why are those names also in this Ezhava list? Either you say caste correctly or don't say at all.

Dr. A. Ayyappan, famous anthropologist and archeologist. Dr. A. Sreevivasan, phyachattrist, international winner foin the year1975-76.fouction conducted at kusumagiri mental hospital, cochin. Shaji N Karun is not an ezhava. He is warrior

Namaskaram,
I am trying to gather information about my ancestral Guru Vayath Swamy aka Ponmadathil Bramashri Krishna Swamiggal aka Kannan Gurukkal (Birth 1855-Samadhi 1942).

I am trying to gather information with the objective of preserving and propogation of his achievements, stature as a Guru, sadhaka & philosopher from Kannur Thiyya community.

He was a Guru, Sanskrit Scholar, Devi Upasakan, Social Reformer, Siddha Vaidyar and healer of bites from toxic/ venomous snakes, Naga worshipper and Rehabilitator.

He belonged to Thiyya community of Kannur but was consulted by higher caste scholars and rulers such as Chirrakkal Raja and Arrakkal family. He is also said to have traveled / spent part of his life in to Palakkad Agraharam and Sringeri. He had abilities for punarsthapana of Kavus and Naga tharas. There are many miraculous stories associated with him..there were also many popular folk songs especially sung by the Mukuwar or fisher community around Azhikode, Azhikkal, Meen Kinnu, Payyambalam etc. He was accompanied by vadiyakkar whenever he traveled announcing his movements and travel.

Author of few books including granthas and books one of them Viveka Kumhi, had set up two Madom in Azhikode Kannur and Kalpathy Palakkad. He is said to have performed some Naga shanthi , energy balancing karmas at Kannathur Aaroodam and Kavu and Andaloor Kaavu Dharmadam. He rehabiltated many Nagas from distant places around his tharvaad in small tharas in Vayath house in Vangathvayal, Azhikode. He is said to have pushed back the sea by few 100mtrs at Meenkunhu beach by using mantras after meditation, there is a small house there which maintains his meditation room even today .

It is said his notes inspired Sukumaran Azhikode who wrote Tatvamasi which won him Sahiteya Akademi award. Sukumaran was Guru''s follower for 16 years and borrowed his notes from family after Guru's samadhi, but didn't return them later despite many attempts by family. Sukumaran was a communist and Azhikode Panchayat was taken over by this ideology perhaps the reason he didn't even mention this Guru even once. T K Kumaran was another teacher who along with other local teachers gathered to take the responsibility of publishing this Guru's atma charitra

He is said to have had a Sanskrit printing press in Kalpathy Palakkad in early 20th century, had married an Antarjanam lady from Palakkad and brought her back to Kannur

His family matrilineal name is Vayath Narikutty and I am his 6th gen matrilineal line from one of his sister's.

I have photographed about 1600+ handwritten palm leaflets of Guru ie three granthas on Ayurveda, Devi Upasana and His philosophy..

He had written several books one of them Viveka Kumhi

In order to digitalize I need to write some foreword but most precious generation who knew about him are gone. Plus we were very poor in concepts of recording and saving history, hence no written books or records available with present caretakers of the Azhikode Madom except the three handwritten palm 'thali olla' granthas or texts with 1600 + leaflets 24" by 2" which is brought out only during Dusshera puja and kept on peedom during Homam time .
Homa is done in Vangathvayal Azhikode on Kanhi 26 ie Oct 10 this time which I was fortunate to attend.. Devi pratyakshapettu diwasam.

I found his name in 3 or 4 very old historical references books on Malabar Guru's which had only one line references to him that he was a renowned sanskrit scholar and Guru and had inspired Vagbhatananda ji.

I saw 3 or 4 reference a few words in book online on Swami Vivekananda by Paramahamsa Mission press and in a blogpost on Vagbhatananda ji. Other than this no clues.

Any references books / notes / people / contact details who may know about him is welcome.
